On my Toshiba Encore 8 Tablet I noticed that the CPU usage is very high. In Taskmgr / ProcessExplorer, I can see that OneDriveSetup.exe is hogging 1 CPU cores heavily for hours. How an I solve this hang and finish the OneDrive Update? Well ty but for me it isnt The setup. Just regular onedrive. I found another post for this and only had time to reset it, obviously killing the process but didnt have time to reboot before work. – Update folder
– OneDrive.exe
– OneDriveStandaloneUpdater.exe - Go to C:UsersOriginal userAppDataLocalMicrosoftOneDrive Overwrite the copy and paste all these files.('Original user = the name of your account).
- Turn off OneDrive again. This step is needed because if you execute the overwritten the C:UsersOriginal userAppDataLocalMicrosoftOneDriveOneDrive.exe file, you will see that version notation is outdated.
- Then find and right-click the OneDriveSetup.exe file and choose Run as administrator option.
